I am not surprised, however I thought there would be more activity in the area of the brain associated with fantasy.
Asking them to pay more taxes is socialism. Asking them to give up meat would be equated rightly with cultural genocide. Asking them to eat less meat is reasonable but will be met by staunch opposition by the aggro-lobby. Meat is very profitable in general while fruits and veggies are less so.It can be better for you as well to simply eat slightly less meat. I'd agree thats a pretty sensible suggestion for many reasons.

what would have if we Rearrange atoms in bacon :Oawesomeness in it's purest form ??
2 flaws in this argument.1) Pizza Hut fast food? Quite a stretch!2)Mc Donalds has, from the time they first opened in Mexico, always offered some items specific to that country. It is done to give the locals a product they are familiar with, and to adjust the menu to local tastes. Most American companies, in one way or another adjust their product line to the local tastes when they expand overseas. It' not just food companies. Even tire companies do it. Just because it's an American company, that does not imply in any way that the product is necessarily American. It once implied, but no longer does, that the money generated would find it's way back to the US in some way. |

$600 extra a year is a *lot* of money for people on tight budgets. Not everyone buys a $3 cup of coffee in the morning, or drives a $15,000 car, etc. I see where you're coming from, and know the kind of people of whom you speak, but there are a *lot* of people hurting out there right now whose monthly income barely covers their expenses... if they're lucky enough to even have a job.

Legally they did nothing wrong, the media is just immune to *not* causing hysteria for no reason.

So it's $100 off the contract-life cost of, what, $2200? Anyone who buys an iPhone when it's $99+2 years of $80/mo charges, instead of $199+2 years of $80/mo charges, is going to pay $2100 instead of $2200. Exactly a 4.5% discount. Whoopee. |
