Luckiest man in the world?
I'm not usually an early-adopter but the plethora of positive reviews has won me over. Just ordered mine online 30 min. ago.New Every Two discount + my company's Verizon discount program = $99 ($107, including tax) shipped, no rebates & no fees. Couldn't pass that up. Should be here Monday.

I wonder if Krugman ever gets tired of being wrong? Apparently not, he keeps writing, but what kind of insanity does it take to say "well, the thing we tried failed massively, maybe if we do ten times as much of it, it will work"?Seriously? 100 years of failed experiments isn't enough? Do we need another 100 to convince you it will fail next time, too??
Try riding the #18 bus. I'm betting you'll see a few then. |

FTA: "Nobody really understands how life got started on Earth. Our experiments demonstrate that once the Earth formed, many of the building blocks of life were likely present from the beginning. Since we are simulating universal astrophysical conditions, the same is likely wherever planets are formed,” explained Sandford. Are we perhaps beginning to see how the conditions for life are hardwired into the greater system? The mixing of stellar clouds of dust, swirling through radiation storms giving rise to basic complex molecules used in cellular communications and the most basic definition of life: wonderfully shocking ideas. If true, what an incredibly intricate Universe we live in. I would go so far as to say that the Universe seems positively life-giving. I like the idea of a tenuously sentient Universe that nurtures not individual lives as much as the power of life to seed and to disperse. What an exciting time in science. |
