Details like he was serving our Military for 8 years before this happened? That he was for all intents perceived as a good person? Are you suggesting that this guy spent his whole life on US soil, serving the US military, just to plot to kill 13 people? No, it wasn't due to his religion. Clearly something snapped in this person. The reasons for murder are often complex, and you trying to simplify this case by saying it was specifically due to his religion/ethnicity is just a display of your own prejudices.Same goes for seemingly all the other commentators here..

this is sad. it reminds me of a similar case going on here in baltimore, where a man is accused of killing a college student in a hit and run; he's had his license suspended and has been charged with impaired driving many times before: http://bit.ly/LX51sin extreme cases like these, you can't help but wonder why someone hasn't locked them up and thrown away the key. what is the line between understanding and penalties that truly punish?it seems it's not really the judges who are at the true root of the problem ... oftentimes, the traffic laws themselves have little teeth.

See @grayworg's comment above.It's fake, but the image has not been photoshopped. Glass is used to give the illusion that they are sitting in a jeep exposed to a jumping lion, when in fact they are completely protected.I hate it when an image on digg is immediately assumed to be shopped just because it's different or seemingly impossible.
