Already blocked the backgrounds and any others that will come from there with a custom filter. Digg has the balls to label that a 'skin' and not horrific advertisement? Get the ***** out, seriously.
They're reporting it after the fact. When it happened, few outside of Fort Hood knew about it, so that seems like reasonable grounds for calling it a secret.

The modern impact of slavery IS modern racism, sir. It's not a comparison to and it's certainly not a dismisal. My anseters WERE slaves and I will never know my past beyond that of a slave ship. This isn't abstract for me, this is my life, the life of my parents and there parents before them. How dare you lecture me because of a two word preface when you admit that my objections are sound. My intent is crystal clear and you can cover your eyes all you want, we both know that's not going to change. Both rhetorically and as a matter of taste, you are the ignorant one here. Further, why all this towards me and not toward the lead post who very clearly dismissed both reparations and slavery in exactly the way you seem to be against??
Where was District 9 on this list? Seriously great movie, but: "Hey, a strange tube filled with alien stuff. Let me open it. And not tell anybody when I start to feel like ***** and my teeth start falling out." |

Personally, I'd just as soon watch the original version in French. 'Reading' movies has never bothered me. Foreign film makers have great work to present. The point of remaking what are already quality films into English Hollyweird versions is beyond my comprehension. Great examples: The recent plethora of Japanese horror films. Consistently the original versions have been more frightening and interesting to watch.

Pretty much all retail environments are like that because.1. You're replaceable.2. If sick time can be abused, it will be.I'm all too familiar with the temptation to "call in sick" just to take a day off at a moment's notice. To be blunt, that's a privilege that's earned as you get into a "real" job. In fact, the last several places I've worked don't call it sick time, they call it PTO - "Personal Time Off", to be taken for whatever reason you deem fit, including mental health.Most places will start you with 2 weeks vacation and 5 days PTO. The place I'm at now is sadly WAAAY behind the times and gives you only 10 days off, no PTO. You can use your 10 days as PTO, but that means no vacation for you. :P |
